David has been avoiding his life for over a year now. Avoiding employment, avoiding going outside to face a world that hates him, and mostly, avoiding God whose oh-so-holy book 'The Bible' has been lying at the bottom of a bin in his bedroom topped with scrunched up bits of paper rubbish.

After being kicked out of his Church, and abandoned by almost everyone he knew, David has spent most of his time falling deeper and deeper into the haze of marijuana and video game obsession while living in a drug dealer's flat with little thought of getting off the unemployment benefit.

When his old friend, Lisa, re-enters his life again and starts asking questions about their mutual history together, her true motivations for getting back in touch seem less about friendship than digging up dirt. But with the mounting pressure of his mother losing a grip on her alcoholism, and paid employment giving no personal satisfaction whatsoever, will sudden revelations about his past push David over the edge and threaten to bring everything crashing down all over again?

David has to come face to face with everything he tried to forget and leave behind, while accepting that perhaps this Hell-on-earth is his real punishment for failing God. But with this acceptance comes the realisation that he now has a way to seek the revenge that he never thought would be possible.

And with Hell all that he has to look forward to, David is now justified in doing what he could never have done before.
